Series: Ecclesiastes Contrary to common opinion, God is not against people enjoying themselves. Solomon repeatedly tells us in the book of Ecclesiastes that there is nothing better for a man than that he enjoy his food, his family and his work. The key is to keep these things in perspective. They are not God and this is not Heaven. The simple pleasures of this life are temporal gifts from the hand of God that should be enjoyed for what they are and nothing more.
