Series: Worship The Lord's supper is a meal that reveals the unity of the body of Christ. In the first century the table was a place to reinforce class distinctions. The Lord's table shattered that custom. There are no assigned seats around this table. Every disciple of Christ is welcome regardless of age, sex, race or social standing. In this sermon Lawrence exhorts us to learn from the failure of the Corinthian church and to use the Lord's Supper as a time to declare our unity as the body and bride of Christ.
