Bro Ward reminded us of Peter’s mistakes to help us give consideration to our own lives:

Arrogance. “Peter answered him, “Though they all fall away because of you, I will never fall away” (Matt 26:33). Pride is such a deceptive vice. The tragic stories of great men falling are recorded to wake us up before it is too late. Perhaps you are at a point in your life where the little voice in your head telling you that everything is okay has drowned out the little voice telling you that only Jesus can make everything okay.
Too far from Jesus. “And Peter was following him at a distance” (Matt 26:58a). We know we are too far from Jesus when His Word becomes burdensome to us. There are times in our lives when we don’t have any interest in getting together with other Christians for study and worship. Maybe this rings true for you? Don’t delay… “Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded” (James 4:8).
